Health{ier} Chocolate Cake {recipe}

I'm always on the hunt for healthy...or healthier treats for our family. I found this one on Hungry Girl's Blog and I'm LOVING it!

There are literally 3 ingredients. Greek yogurt {which we always have in the fridge anyway}, devil's food cake mix, and water.

Imani was the lucky helper this time since the boys were all outside playing.

I promise I don't let the kids do this when we're having guests.

Come on, I know you do this too.

We recently bought a cake pan in the shape of the Swedish Dalecarlian Horse {most people call it the Dala Horse}.

We incorporate so much of Ethiopia in our house but we don't want to forget about Anton & Laith's Scandinavian heritage. It's fun that our family has ties to several countries and is able to celebrate all of our cultures.

I was so paranoid about getting it out of the pan...but...success!

Truthfully I made these extra cupcakes in case our Dala Horse crumbled.

We really try and limit the amount of sugar the kids have so usually our cupcakes are topped with powdered sugar or my favorite, a little smearing of Nutella.

 It was super moist & almost decadent tasting.

Hopefully she'll love baking as much as I do!
